DCN is a family business, (now in its third generation) based in the scenic English village of Great Gransden, Bedfordshire.
The Company was started in 1970 by Managing Director David Norris and his father Douglas Norris. They designed and manufactured machines to produce screw conveyors. Relocating to a larger site in 1975 meant that they could develop the product range and they started developing stainless steel food processing equipment.
DCN started out modestly with industrial can-openers, which are now used worldwide by both start-up companies and leading food producers. From these beginnings the company has developed extensively providing customers with anything from stand-alone cooking equipment to fully automated processing lines.

DCN now employ over 90 staff and manufacture some of the largest food processing plants worldwide.
To demonstrate our commitment to working with our customers DCN have built a state-of-the-art Product Development Kitchen. The facility comprises a purpose built food factory with fridge panel walls, ucrete floors and stainless steel drains. The unit is equipped with fully operational industrial size cooking, cooling, mixing and Capkold equipment which is available for trials, product development or hire.
In addition there is a domestic style kitchen/leisure area which can be used for tasting, training and discussion.
