Receptionist / Administrator

A Market leader in Food Processing Equipment manufacture are seeking an outstanding candidate to join their existing Administration Team.

Candidates must have:

· Experience within a similar role.

· A good telephone manner.

· IT Skills.

· Friendly and approachable personality.

· Able to multi-task.

Main Duties:

· Answering the telephone – directing calls.

· Organising Refreshments for Customers.

· Booking Meetings/Trials.

· Organise Flights and Hotel Accommodation.

· Arrange Visas and associated travel documents.

· Ordering/Purchasing

- Ordering stock for Spares.

- Ordering stock for Purchasing Department.

- Create Purchase Orders.

· Composing basic Quotations.

· Assist other Departments with General Administration.

Technical Design Engineer

  • To work within our Design Team on the comprehensive range of equipment that we manufacture.
  • Must be experienced in the use of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D Software such as Solidworks.
  • An engineering background.

The following would be advantageous, but not essential:

             Experience of design work carried out on food machinery and systems.

A working knowledge of the following, both at user design and calculation levels:

- steam systems and energy calculations

- fluid systems, pumps and pipe work

- pneumatics

- stress calculations

- sizing of motor/gearboxes for applications

- sheet metal development

- tolerance of machined parts

  • Perform necessary calculations, control and advise on technical legislation that DCN equipment should conform to such as PD5500, ASME, Puwer, Machinery Directive, CE/CA marking etc.
  • Specify and source technical bought out items to ensure they conform to DCN and customer requirements.
  • Advise both colleagues and customers regarding technical queries.
  • Provide technical and service requirements for Sales drawings and marketing/commercial documents.
  • Control of formulation and updating of Bills of Materials.
  • Administer serial number database.
  • Control of technical manual formulation including updating.
  • Formulation of spare parts lists.
  • Administer technical library (online and hard copy).
  • Checking customer URS/Specifications for technical requirements/specifications prior to quotation or contract signature.
  • Administer parts database (Operations).

Hours:     

8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Mon – Fri).  Overtime is sometimes available.

  • An engineering background.

  • Be able to deal directly with suppliers to obtain prices and delivery times.

             Previous shop floor “hands on” experience; Machining, Welding Fabrication   “Time served Apprentice” etc.

Experience of design work carried out on food machinery and systems.

A working knowledge of the following, both at user design and calculation levels:

Accounts & Payroll Assistant

A Market leader in Food Processing Equipment manufacture are seeking an outstanding candidate to join their existing Accounts Team.

Candidates MUST have:

  • At least 2 years all round supporting finance/accountancy/payroll experience.
  • Up to date knowledge of legislation and ruling around statutory payments.
  • Reporting experience, excellent Excel skills including pivot tables and vlookups.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of windows based standard accounts packages.
  • AAT 2/3 Qualified is desirable.

Main Duties

Duties will include but are not limited to:

•             End to end monthly payroll for up to 110 employees.
•             Make pension submissions and payments.
•             Make HMRC submissions & payments.
•             Other payroll related responsibilities.
•             Payroll Deductions and payment.
•             Balance sheet reconciliations.
•             Bank reconciliations.
•             Purchase & sales ledger processing.
•             Accruals and prepayments.
•             VAT Returns.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Supervisor

Multi-skilled Maintenance Supervisor is required by long established and respected Engineering Manufacturing Company to cover site maintenance and breakdowns.

This interesting and varied “hands on” role is working with various engineering machinery, following monthly maintenance schedules and fixing breakdowns. Both electrical and mechanical skills and experience are required.

You will have significant experience working with most of the following and be willing to learn and train in the others:

  • Various site machinery. I.E Machine Shop Mills / Lathes / Drills - Sheet-Metal & Fabricating machines including hand tools, polishers, heaters etc.
  • Assembly equipment.
  • Electrics.
  • Plumbing.
  • Modern manufacturing methods.
  • A can do attitude.
  • Take control of the existing 2 man team, review current duties and organise their working day, introduce structured efficient working practices.
  • Form a strategy to implement a PPM system for all critical machines and systems
  • Organise a regular inspection and service of Forklift trucks.
  • Assume control and organisation of vehicle servicing (commercials and pool car) and MOT’s including 7.5T HGV.
  • Assume responsibility for building infrastructure and external areas to include work, security and emergency lighting,  power circuits, alarm systems, compressed air systems, car park refurbishment etc etc
  • New projects that need planning and implementation include, Argon gas ring main, dust and fume extraction systems (in conjunction with H&S), emergency lighting in the Sand Road buildings, roof work on the Sand Road buildings.

City & Guilds Qualifications / Apprentice in Engineering would be an advantage.
Applicants need to be very flexible as they are also required to cover general facilities maintenance around the site including other duties as required such as painting and decorating.

Skilled Electrician Engineer

Skilled Electrical Engineer is required by long-established and respected engineering manufacturing Company.

This interesting and varied “hands-on” role is working in building food processing machinery in Stainless steel. Both electrical and a small amount of mechanical skills and experiences is required.

The role is working in a department of 6 electrical engineers.

You will have significant experience in panel wiring through to completely wiring machinery to connection of main supply.

You may be required to go on-site to complete the electrical installation of the equipment.

You will have significant experience in electric fault finding and helping in house electrical maintenance within the company.

Electrical NVQ3 & VRQ / City & Guilds Qualifications / Apprentice in Engineering are required.

39 hour week per required.

Production Welder / Fabricator

We are currently looking to recruit a multi-skilled Production Stainless Steel Welder.

The successful applicant will have a varied role, welding different types of fabrication to a high standard for equipment used within the Food Processing industry. The job is based at our premises in Great Gransden, with occasional site-work.

Skills required:

  • TIG and MIG welding practices plus positional
  • The ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.

Advantageous:

  • Orbital welding
  • City & Guilds Qualifications in Welding/Apprentice in Engineering

Mechanical Assembler/Fitter

This interesting role is to work on various types of assembly and fitting to a high standard for equipment used in the Food Processing Industry.

Previous experience is essential:

  • Mechanical motor fitting
  • Building air pneumatics

  • Read and have good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical equipment.

Trainee Welder

Due to a large increase in workload we are currently looking for Trainee Welders. Previous experience is not essential, but the successful candidate should have a keen interest in learning and willingness to work hard and go the extra mile.

You will be given training in all aspects of MIG/TIG welding and fabricating to a very high standard, manufacturing components used to produce stainless steel food processing equipment.

Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm

Friday 7.30 am – 1.30pm

Cleaning Duties:

· Sweeping up factory floors.

· Sanitising surfaces.

· Washing & Mobile Karcher factory floors.

· Emptying domestic rubbish bins.

· Emptying metal swarf bins from engineering sections.

· Cleaning engineering machines.

· Cleaning staircase & handrails

· Toilet cleaning duties daily.

· Hoovering.

· Pressure washing.

12 Weeks Temp to Perm.
