We are looking to recruit a hands-on Electrical Design Engineer to work closely with our Mechanical Design, Project and Software teams to provide control panel layouts, schematic drawings with component and cable specification and support to our installation teams and clients.
Experienced sheet metal and fabrication engineer who can work to high-quality standards, promptly ensuring production schedules are met. You will be expected to have the experience and knowledge to apply best practices to your work.
You must be able to work within a team and be aware of all aspects including Health & Safety, Production, Inspection and Discipline.
Electrical and mechanical knowledge would be a big advantage. PLC/HMI programming knowledge would also be an advantage, full training in this aspect would be given if necessary, as a part of the training programme. Other training can be considered as necessary.
The successful applicant will have a varied role, welding different types of fabrication to a high standard for equipment used within the Food Processing industry. The job is based at our premises in Great Gransden, with occasional site-work.
This interesting and varied “hands on” role involves working with a variety of different engineering machinery, fixing breakdowns, following monthly maintenance schedules. Both mechanical and some electrical skills and experiences are required however this role will be more Mechanical Biased.
