Current Vacancies:

Design Engineer

  • To work within our design team on the comprehensive range of equipment that we manufacture.
  • Must be experienced in the use of Solid Modelling design software (preferably Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks but similar would be considered) and be proficient in the use of AutoCAD.
  • An engineering background.
  • Be able to work on their own or as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to deal directly with suppliers to obtain prices and delivery times.

The following would be advantageous, but not essential:

Previous shop floor “hands on” experience; Machining, Welding Fabrication   “Time served Apprentice” etc.

In depth knowledge of Autodesk Inventor.

Experience of design work carried out on food machinery and systems.

A working knowledge of the following, both at user design and calculation levels:

- steam systems and energy calculations

- fluid systems, pumps and pipe work

- pneumatics

- stress calculations

- sizing of motor/gearboxes for applications

- sheet metal development

- tolerance of machined parts

Hours:      8:30 am to 5:00 pm (Mon – Fri).  Overtime is sometimes available.

  • Experience in mechanical motor fitting
  • Experience in building air pneumatics  
  • Experience in building and fitting bearing housings
  • Experience in marking out, drilling, tapping, saw Cutting
  • Candidates need to be able to read and have good understanding of engineering drawings
  • Be proficient with the use of various hand tools and mechanical equipment.
  • Have significant experience of building special purpose machinery.
  • It would be beneficial but not essential have experience in machine shop manual machinery such as lathes / mills and drills.

Working hours are 39 hours per week.

Skilled Metal finisher (Polisher / Fettler)

This interesting and varied “hands on” role is working in building food processing machinery in Stainless steel.

The role is working in a small polishing department of 7 metal polishing engineers.

You will have significant experience in polishing and fettering and various metal finishes. (Satin / Mirror / shot blast / scotch-bright)

You may be required to go on site from time to time to help assist in installation of the equipment to customers.

Experience required.

39 hour per week
